WRITERS IN THER RAW brings it's acclaimed songwriter series to the Count Basie Theatre (Red Bank, NJ) on May 1st with four singer/songwriters, each representing different musical genres and career points: <br />
David Johansen of the legendary punk band, The New York Dolls . Rhett Miller of the alt-country heroes, Old 97's . Alec Ounsworth , of the rock sensation, Clap your Hands Say Yeah and the darling of Nashville's country charts, Aston Shepherd . Witness this intimate acoustic evening as these artists trade songs and stories, while inspiring and playing off each other, in this once in a lifetime event. <br />

The next show is Sunday, July 16th @ the Wonderbar in Asbury Park, NJ <br />
In a nutshell:WITR is a singer-songwriter series dedicated to the bare songs &amp; storiesâ¦ this series highlights the amazing talent each artist possesses individually while showcasing their songs without the cushion of a backing band. for more info hit their website: <a href="http://www.writersintheraw.com" target="_blank" rel="noopener" class="mycode_url">www.writersintheraw.com</a> <br />
here's the line up:<br />
Up 1st the Featured National Artists take the stage @ 7:30:<br />
Ben Arnold, Scott Bricklin, Joseph Parsons &amp; Tom Gillam<br />
each artist plays in the round taking turns sharing story &amp; song<br />
then @ 9:45 a different set of musicians take their turn. <br />
The featured Homegrown talent:<br />
Rick Barry, Christine Martucci,Chuck Schoonmaker (Days Awake),Lou Montesano (Status Green) <br />

She went on tour to Spain, Israel, Italy and other countries back in 2003. I went to her concert in Italy and she knew how to get the crowd hyped up! The Miami New Times called her a "Folkloric Legend" Check out her new CD and listen to "Tonada del viejo amor" and please let me know what you think of this "Folkloric Legend." Be sure to listen to her new Album, Corazon Libre. Her music gets better everytime! Let me know what you think of the album and which track is your favorite. Thanks!]]></description>
